Re: Up Box. The gap between the walls is not filled

Yeah Up software has always created 'skinned' walls that aren't 0.8mm or 1.8mm+

It's ridiculous because it's not a hardware issue, it could literally be fixed with software

Re: Looking for best raft removal settings

Same for ABS - drop extruder temp down. Also I've found new nozzles release supports easier. 0.2mm printing height removes supports best. 0.1mm and 0.15mm welds the support to the print I've found.

How do I tighten the Up Box belts - especially the X axis belt

Hi, how do I tighten the Up Box belts - especially the X axis belt?

Do I need another belt tensioner? Can I modify the existing belt tensioner? Are there any visual guides/videos to this anywhere?

Thanks!

"Nozzle too hot" error - Up Box+

Hi, I have a new Up Box+ but it hasn't printed past about 15 layers since I've had it (UP ABS). I've changed the ribbon cable, extruder PCB and I have sent it to the supplier and they've changed the hot end. They reported it printing for over 6 hours without a problem but I got it back and tried it ...

Re: Heating bed

I've also got this problem!!

It seems that there are either a lot of faulty units or it is by design - TIERTIME ARE YOU LISTENING?!

0.2mm nozzle?

Hi, I can see on the new Up software there is an option for a 0.2mm nozzle - will this be released for the Up Mini 2 or Up Box?

Thanks

Yeah I think it's bad design - and no reply from Tiertime...

I wonder if they have a video of how quickly it is supposed to heat up?

Re: Preheat is INSANELY slow!

My preheating is still ridiculously slow - it takes about an hour to preheat! Plus on larger parts they warp really badly at the edges (because it isn't hot enough) and the max temperature during printing is 88% (not 100%). Is it a faulty heater? What is the solution? I don't want to send it away as...

Re: Warping during print

Mine does this on larger prints - my Up Mini 2 takes about 45mins-1 hour to heat up though and never reaches 100% temperature (max 88% temperature) - I think that's the cause. Maybe faulty heater.

Re: Improving support release - Up Box

Hi titaniumapple. Vertical calibration is used to calibrate the overall dimensions of printed parts, I mean, for example, when you print a cube of 20x20x20mm, the real part measures those 20x20x20mm. And the same for paralel and perpendicular lines. So I don't think it should have any relation with...

Improving support release - Up Box

Hi, I've got both an Up Mini 2 and an Up Box (with + upgrade). The Up Mini 2 support removal is great when checking the 'easy to peel' option in software version 1.6.1.2. But the Up Box isn't! Flat surfaces literally weld to the supports. I've found the 'Vertical Calibration' tab under 'Calibration'...

Re: Printing flexible filament - how to slow the print speed down

What type of parts are you printing? I have a roll of flex here that I gave up on quite a while ago because of gel like extruding and extruding stops (I will try your tip on unrolling the filament for that). It was a shape similar to half of a sphere. I left the supports on (and cut them away with ...

Yeah I agree, I've had issues before and swapping the nozzle for a new/clean one worked for me.

Re: New CPU upgrade - Wifi not working

I wanted to post an update - after I complained, Roman from Tiertime sent me a new CPU upgrade free of charge because the other one wasn't connecting to Wifi. I used the latest Mac software (1.4.1 which allows Wifi setup, even though I think it has printing issues) to set up the Wifi via USB..and it...

Re: Printing flexible filament - how to slow the print speed down

Thanks - I figured it out. The roll was 1kg - very heavy. So I unwound some filament (about 150g-worth) onto an empty spool so it was much lighter. I raised the nozzle height slightly more and printed at 0.2mm and Fine - and it worked! I'm pretty certain it was getting clogged because the spool was ...

Re: 'Platform Too Hot' error

Thanks, it's definitely the ffc cable - the Up Mini 2 has a clip that holds the cable in place - but the sharp edges of the grey clip are wearing away the cable as it goes back and forth during printing and the wires inside are fraying and causing temperature fluctuations (poor design). See below: c...

Printing flexible filament - how to slow the print speed down

Hi, I'm trying to print this: https://rigid.ink/products/flexible-pla-1-75-mm-0-03-mm-tolerance-filament After a bit of trial and error it printed on my Up Mini 2 but on the Up Box it's failing - the nozzle is clogging. I'm using 255 degrees C and I've raised the nozzle height slightly so there's ro...
