Re: UP BOX Mod * run out of filament pause! :)

This is great mod! Perfect one would be if it could pause printing while it stops feeding the filament due to many other factors like nozzle clogged, tangling, wrong filament diameter, etc.

Re: Bed height drops frequently

Hi, I've gone through about 5-6 reels with the Up Box now and generally haven't suffered any issues, but recently I am finding that the bed height is changing on more or less every print. I found out pretty early on that the Auto Bed Height feature was always off by 0.2mm, if I took the level given...

Re: My UP BOX problems

We had lots of problems with our Up Box. Since we received it one print was good and 2 were failures. First, the nozzle assembly was weak and it broke after cleaning the nozzle. We had to replace it. Another problem was that the printer stopped in the middle of the print giving temperature errors. ...

Re: Up Box Nozzle Room Temp

Hi. In my UP Box, nozzle temp just after initialising the printer is 28,7 degrees ( platform temp 28,5 ).
Probably still warmer than normal temp, because off the sun exposed room where the printer is being kept.
My nozzle reaches around 50 degrees when the platform is heated to 80 degrees.

Re: Hello from Poland

Sometimes even better filament will not help. It can have different melting temperature than UP filament. In UP Software default nozzle temp is around 260-270 C. A lot of ABS filament (non UP) you can buy has 230-240 C . But there is also for example Orbitech filament which has in theory 265 C melti...

Re: Hello from Poland

Hi, I'm not an expert, but try printing with opened Wind Barrier - switch on extruder head.
It should help with printing details.
What filament are you printing? Is it UP's filament or something different?

Re: What other materials can UP BOX prints?

Bamboofill is totally diferent material than ABS. It is based on PLA, and more or less looks/feels like wood. BIg disadvantage for me is that it likes to clog the nozzle, which means game over for your print. Printing on ABS is much easier for me, specially on UP BOX, with closed and well heated env...

Re: What other materials can UP BOX prints?

Hi, today i tried printing with bamboofill which consists 20% of bamboo, 80% PLA. I was prepered to have some problems with printing with this kind of filament but actally it went surprisingly well. Tested it with my small test model 50x10x10 mm but big enough to see how it looks in some specific si...

Re: UP BOX just arrived

Hi,
After manual platform leveling BOX works great.
Printed irregular model with volum maximum dimensions around 20x20x10 and had no visual warping (I didnt measure it).
I only had issues with filament included to the BOX. It wasn't perfectly smooth and was knotted what was causing air printing.

Re: UP BOX just arrived

I didn't measure temperature inside, but I heard from my local Up distributor that it reaches around 50-55 Celsius degrees. After few small test prints ofcourse I tried printing bigger parts, around 20x20cm (which is why I've actually bought the Up Box- possibility i to print architectural models, a...

Re: UP BOX just arrived

I was lucky to have both printers only for short period of time ( nów I only have Box) to do enough tests, so it is hard to say if it is 30 or probably little bit less about 20-25% comparing Up plus 2 "Fast" mode and Up Box "Turbo" mode. But still it is nice to see how it moves :)

Re: UP BOX just arrived

Hello everybody! Hi Julia! Im a designer and a 3d printing beginner, but i will share with you my first impressions about Up Box. Comparing to Up Plus 2, few days ago i did a test. I printed same small model (same settings - both fast mode) on Up Plus 2 and Up Box. Box was about 5% faster, similar q...
