Re: WORKING: SOFTWARE TEMP MOD - ADJUSTABLE LAYER HEIGHTS !

A big cheers and congratulations to both of you, this looks awesome!

As I already have temp mod and bed temp mod, the most interesting part are 0.15 and 0.10 layers on my Mini.

Edit: Slicer complains about missing libwinpthread-1.dll missing. Probably because I don't have MinGW?

Re: How to use?

Hi,
to post a tabbed list (tab formatted text) use the Code button.

List only creates a list but you can't use tabbed entries there.

Re: Anyone used a Wanhao d5s

Wanhao is basically a rebranded copy of a Replicator 2, and not usually great. Just have a look at youtube videos. Don't consider it if you need quality prints. I did not use that model personally. I just bought 2 printers from the east (Mankati and Flashforge) and did not have good results with any...

Re: Converting Mini to CBD Chitu 3.1 board

It doesn't look good at all. I just looked at their website and got a bad vibe. They look like just resellers with no knowledge about what they are doing. I wonder, why didn't you get a board from Panucatt? I have great experience with their services plus I have a feeling that you are in the same Co...

Re: Converting Mini to CBD Chitu 3.1 board

Any hotend that doesn't add heat to the extruder stepper is much better for PLA. I personally had the best experiences with e3d but it will make you loose a lot of height. Look here for a good idea: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:457420 The mod had been posted also on the forums. Maybe ask Drew ab...

Sure jeeplvr, why not?

Please PM me all your settings to set up a new profile for your printer and a link to the stl that you would want converted to compare support removal.

Re: Converting Mini to CBD Chitu 3.1 board

After you dial in the best settings let me know to prepare a gcode file for you in Simplify. I hope to amaze you. I get even better quality (on a corexy bowden printer) with the same ease of support removal from it. I can't see why you shouldn't get at least the same quality as the original up. Disc...

Re: Extruder Gear - where to buy ?

In theory it should work like the original. The only problem would be it slipping a little more on the filament. Maybe you could also design/print a spring loaded idler so that the force pushing on the filament is more constant. Up design uses a fixed idler that is very sensitive to filament diameter.

Re: Converting Mini to CBD Chitu 3.1 board

Since the printer is already deeply into metamorphosis, maybe you would consider doing a hotend mod. Then you could also print flex filaments and PLA more easy since the heat won't climb from the hotend. Another thought is about the slicer. Opensource slicers are not bad but also far from perfect at...

Added a ProtoCycler to my collection

I'm excited that I added a ProtoCycler to my collection of 3D printing stuff. Specs look good at +/-0.02mm. Produced filament should work perfectly for all printers. It extrudes about 1kg in 2h and also spools it. Shredder is good for failed prints, rafts and supports. Can't wait to get it (although...

Re: Understanding UP! Rom file format ==> Need USB Capture

mr_x, or maybe stop the software from reading from UP and writing to registry, using only the registry values? It is safer to modify win registry than to write the ROM for each new temp change. This would pose no risk for the Mini(M)'s. Also there is already a simple method to change just the temper...

Re: Understanding UP! Rom file format ==> Need USB Capture

scubamatt41, I think it is too soon at this moment. mr_x, wouldn't it be easier to compile a "trainer" that will change program memory on the fly? At least for those that don't want to mess with flashing their printer. This should allow the soft tempmod. I will have a look tonight and try to make a ...

Nice find!

What do you recommend to use to capture initial USB comm?

I have an old Up Mini here.
